The Infamous Masterson’s , nestled in the bustling area of Moonee Ponds , advertises itself as a stylish, alternative venue , but my recent visit at this establishment quickly devolved into an unforgettable, terrible experience. While the bar may seem appealing from the exterior , what I encountered behind its threshold was disturbing and far below any standard .
Cleanliness Issues : Filthy and Disregarded
From the moment I entered , it was apparent that cleanliness was not a priority at this venue. The surfaces were tacky , and a overpowering stench of uncleaned spills and dirty bathrooms polluted the entire pub. Emitting a scent of a mixture of urine , decay and illness . The counter , which should be the primary feature of any pub, was cluttered with dirty glasses and debris that looked like it had been ignored for a long time . The toilet was in even a more revolting state — spilling over , with a snapped lever and walls covered in what I can only assume was human excrement .

Many guests have reported witnessing insects darting across the serving surface and traces of mice in the basement . For a business that serves drinks , these issues are completely unacceptable and raise serious concerns about the safety of their products .

Unfortunately, his reputation in the corporate world is a fantastic read clouded by a disturbing pattern of misconduct in his personal and business life .

As I dug deeper , I was horrified to find reports against him involving misconduct , with multiple women citing incidents of sending indecent material . Described as excessively forward and boundary-crossing , his actions has created an unsafe environment for women who visit Masterson’s. His presence at the bar often felt more like that of a lurking threat than a genial proprietor .

Rather than addressing the issue to alleviate the damage done by her husband’s actions, she appears to condone his behavior.
